"We congratulate Parkview Adventist Medical Center on achieving this level of service quality and for being recognized as a top health care facility in the country for inpatient care," says Dr. Michael Everett, chief executive officer and Avatar founder. "We commend the consistent and unsurpassed efforts of the inpatient staff members and their pursuit of optimum care."
Parkview is categorized as a 51 to 100 bed health care facility. "There are many hospitals in the country between 51 and 100 beds," says Ted Lewis, chief executive officer at Parkview Adventist Medical Center. "To be rated number one in this category for patient satisfaction is really a testament to our staff's hard work and dedication as well as the high quality of care they continuously provide."
The Five Star Service Inpatient Care award is based on results from the 2007 patient surveys. The award reflects the highest score for inpatients in Avatar's national database by bed size.
