MEDITECH Announces First Australian Customer

WESTWOOD, Ma.-- May 17, 2006 -- Medical Information Technology, Inc. (MEDITECH), Westwood, MA, is proud to announce the first Australian sale in the company's 37-year history: Ramsay Health Care, an organization comprised of 69 health care facilities--including psychiatric, rehabilitation, and acute care hospitals--and over 6,500 inpatient beds.

Ramsay has licensed the software through Medical Information Technology Australia Pty Ltd. (MEDITECH Australia), an affiliate company of MEDITECH headquartered in Sydney. MEDITECH Australia will provide Ramsay’s private hospitals with an integrated patient administration system, designed to provide hospital managers and staff with electronic data access throughout the enterprise as well as from remote locations.

John Tresling, the CEO of Information Technology Holdings Pty Ltd. (parent of MEDITECH Australia) believes that MEDITECH Australia has an excellent foothold in the Australian and New Zealand markets. The complete rollout to Ramsay’s hospitals will commence in May 2006 and will continue over the next few years.
