MEDITECH Customers Among HealthGrades' 50 Best Hospitals

We're proud to announce that 16 MEDITECH customers are among the institutions recognized on HealthGrades' list of America's 50 Best Hospitals for 2008. HealthGrades is the leading independent health care ratings organization, providing ratings and profiles of hospitals, nursing homes, and physicians to consumers, corporations, health plans, and hospitals.

In compiling the 50 Best list, the organization analyzed 100 million hospitalization records from 5,000 hospitals throughout the country, spanning the years 1999-2006. Hospitals making the list averaged a 27 percent lower mortality rate than all other U.S. health care organizations. They also demonstrated clinical outcomes among the top five percent in the nation, across 27 different procedures and diagnoses, for all years studied.
