MEDITECH has one independently operated subsidiary, Patient Care Technologies, Inc. (PtCT).
 

Lawrence A. Polimeno, vice chairman of MEDITECH, has taken on the additional role of president and CEO of PtCT. PtCT co-founder Steve Miller still remains heavily involved in the company's product development.

PtCT is a leading provider of home care, hospice, tele-health, and private duty software. Their solutions include Maestro, an enterprise software offering designed to facilitate the process management of all facets of home health, hospice, and private duty care delivery through real-time Business Activity Monitoring; and well@home, the first patient tele-management system that provides home care patients with education, monitoring services, and compliance management features. The acquisition will allow MEDITECH to integrate all of PtCT's product offerings with our own to provide our customers with a comprehensive solution for chronic disease management.

True innovators in home care software, the founders of PtCT were one of the first to automate the home health clinical record in 1991. PtCT also created the first structured electronic clinical chart, from which home health point-of-care documentation was born. This innovative product quickly became the "Market Leader in Home Care Clinical Software," according to Home Care Automation Report (HCAR).
