In the April 2008 edition of ADVANCE for Health Information Executives, two prevalent CIOs from MEDITECH's customer base, Bill Overbey, Hays Medical Center (Hays, KS), and George Conklin, CHRISTUS Health (Dallas, TX), were featured in the editorial, "CIO Roundtable". The editorial provides an inside look of the ever-changing role of the CIO within a health care organization. As technology continues to play an integral part in an organization's operational success, CIOs have become the predominant player in an organization's financial and clinical decision-making process.
