Mobilizing Data was one of the overriding themes for MEDITECH and our customers during 2008, as we were seeing, using and sharing more information than ever before! Here, clinicians from Roger Williams Medical Center, Greenwich Hospital, and Northern Westchester Hospital use various technologies (including Computers on Wheels, handhelds, and Bed Board software) to administer quality care.
Caregivers and hospital executives from across the country came together with MEDITECH staff, to network and discuss I.T. at our customer events. Whether they were attending our workshops, participating in breakout sessions, or sharing their experiences on-stage—these customers inspired others with their intelligence and experience.
Our on-site events also gave international customers a chance to actively participate in MEDITECH's customer community, while bonding with others who understand their unique needs. Our Canadian customers gathered for a "class photo," while representatives from our South African sites shared a laugh and a cold beverage.
Joining forces with health care professionals and strengthening our relationships with them is one of MEDITECH's top priorities. We team up to participate in prominent industry events—such as Marketing Director Melissa Swanfeldt did with Phil Wasson from TriHealth at the CHIME Fall Forum. We also often work with customers one-on-one to discuss software enhancements and development direction.
Keeping close ties with our corporate partners and collaborative solutions vendors is also important to us, as we focus on making our software integrated across the continuum. Here, MEDITECH executives share a light moment with Stephanie Petersen and Greg Osmonson of LSS Data Systems, our physician practice partner.
Maintaining seamless communication with our customers certainly paid off in 2008, when our 6.0 and 5.6 early adopters completed successful go-LIVEs. Natalie Beiler and Gina Yost of Rockingham Memorial Hospital, are pleased to be moving forward with the next generation of MEDITECH software.
Nothing pleases us at MEDITECH more than seeing our customers achieve their goals. In 2008, four of our customers—Citizens Memorial Hospital, St. Agnes Hospital, Watertown Regional Medical Center, and Parkview Adventist Medical Center—received the prestigious Stage 6 EMR designation from HIMSS Analytics. And capping off an outstanding year for our customers, Poudre Valley Health System was honored with the 2008 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. We look forward to continued success in 2009!
