Never before has
Congress been so focused on legislation affecting
information technology (I.T.) in health care. In fact,
Congress is currently reviewing and evaluating
several separate health information technology bills
aimed at speeding the adoption of Electronic Health
Records. MEDITECH sees the government initiative
to create an electronic infrastructure which will
allow patient records to be shared across communities
and perhaps on a nationwide basis as a welcome
extension of our mission.
We will continue to
post news updates in this section of Industry and
Press as our industry gains more press on a number of
bills and emerging policies introduced this year to
promote health care technology.
