MEDITECH and Forward Advantage Welcome Our New Data Express Customers

MEDITECH and Forward Advantage are proud to announce several MAGIC and Client/Server customers have successfully deployed Data Express to communicate results to an ambulatory Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Designed for rapid deployment and easy maintenance, Data Express is a "one-to-many" interface suite which communicates HL7 results from MEDITECH's Laboratory, Imaging and Therapeutic Services, and Departmental solutions to physician practices in multiple formats, via a variety of transport formats. Through Data Express, MEDITECH has been able to work with multiple EMR ambulatory vendors to ensure our customers can push results to their affiliated physician practices.

"Data Express implementations often move from Test status to LIVE in less than a month," says Darla Rigg, manager of marketing at Forward Advantage. "Physicians are immediately amazed with how quickly and readily their patients' results are available in their EMR systems."

"We're excited that many of our customers are taking advantage of these benefits," says Larry O'Toole, manager of business relationships at MEDITECH. "Connecting care communities is such an important aspect of providing more efficient and effective patient care, and it's also now a requirement to receive funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. We're proud of our customers who have already taken this step to connect their care providers."
