Hewlett-Packard (HP) works with the MEDITECH Solutions Group within Dell Services to help our mutual clients make the most of their investment in the MEDITECH Health Care Information System. HP works with the MEDITECH Solutions Group to test and certify integrated technology solutions designed specifically for the MEDITECH community to reduce client risk and decrease implementation times. HP's comprehensive product and services portfolio is incorporated into many of the solutions the MEDITECH Solutions Group offers and supports today including access devices, printing technologies, scanning and archiving, virtualized servers, storage, and managed services. This comprehensive technology portfolio helps MEDITECH customers match the right products and services to their specific needs.
IBM
IBM provides MEDITECH customers with IBM's line of high-performance eServers and storage systems which are fully compatible with MEDITECH software. Certified IBM computing systems can operate with both MEDITECH's Client/Server and MAGIC Releases.
BridgeHead Software
MEDITECH and BridgeHead Software offer customers the Integrated Serverless Backup (ISB) solution, leveraging the "snapshot" capability of various SANs. The result is a static, image-based backup of the MEDITECH database. A dedicated backup server running BridgeHead's backup software controls the backup schedule and communicates with MEDITECH to ensure a quiesced, static image of the database is backed up to the tape library. With this solution, customers have the advantage of not having to spend CPU cycles backing up or re-synching data, thereby making multiple daily backups feasible.
Stratus Technologies
Working in conjunction with MEDITECH and Dell Services, Stratus Technologies offers industry-standard, fault-tolerant server technologies known for delivering up-time of 99.999% or greater. Stratus Technologies has adapted its business continuance solutions to specifically work in the MEDITECH environment. Stratus' individual components have servers which are fully redundant and operate in parallel with automated failover capacity and issue notification, allowing for better maintenance of I.T. applications. Stratus works with MEDITECH customers to eliminate unscheduled downtime as well as to limit scheduled downtime for tests, drills, and backups.
