spectrum of medication delivery including CPOE,
medication reconciliation, e-Prescribing, pharmacy,
and bar coded medication administration. All products
share a single formulary, medication administration
record, allergy record, and medication history,
ensuring all care providers are basing their
decisions on the most up-to-the-minute patient data.
Likewise medications are easily reconciled and
converted across all care settings with no reentry
required. Prescriptions are passed electronically to
either the inpatient pharmacy or to outside retail or
mail order pharmacies, eliminating handwritten
scripts. All care providers using our software are equipped with real-time clinical decision support, providing a critical safeguard against potential adverse drug events. Drug and allergy interactions, IV incompatibilities, contraindications, duplicate therapies, and potential conflicts involving a patient's lab results, diet, and disease are all flagged by our system. Care providers can also perform drug dosage calculations, define their own ordering rules, and link to on-line evidence-based medicine resources. Use of bar code readers to perform bedside medication verification also ensures the "Five Rights" of medication administration are being met.
