Three-Tier Model

MEDITECH's Three-Tier Client/Server model is designed for health care enterprises that operate wide area networks (WANs) encompassing multiple facilities. MEDITECH overcomes slow WAN access by using two tiers of Windows^® NT-based file servers. One operates as a remote file server, providing storage for and access to data. The second is placed on the local side of the WAN segment and operates as an application server and performs localized data storage.
