Windows Terminal Services®

MEDITECH also offers customers another thin client solution through Windows Terminal Services. Running off of Windows 2000 Servers, Windows Terminal Services allows users to run all applications off a central server including programs such as Microsoft Word® and Internet Explorer®. Customers need to install and update only one copy of an application on a central server to make it available to all users.

Windows Terminal Services also assists with centralized administration. Administrators are given the ability to manage user sessions and processes on the terminal server as well as remote control or shadow sessions. Since complex processes are performed almost entirely on the server, users require very little memory or processing power on their PCs. The Windows Terminal Services solution allows for up to 25 users per file server.
