Software Support Technician

MEDITECH is looking for staff to assist our customers with software support issues. The Software Support Technician is essentially a programmer-in-training position, as the ultimate goal of a Software Support Technician is to transition into a Programmer Analyst role. This job is a recommended position for someone who has a strong technical aptitude but has not yet acquired enough practical programming experience. This is an entry-level position, and training in MEDITECH technology will be provided to qualified candidates. SSTs will gain great exposure to MEDITECH’s own programming languages, operating system, network protocols and  database systems.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support in day-to-day operations for Programmer Analysts and support personnel
  • Coordinating and delivering current software releases to customers
  • Assisting in the management of customer accounts, which includes working with Applications Specialist staff to address customer issues

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Education & Experience

Programming in a Windows ® environment and knowledge of a high-level programming language such as C, C++, Visual Basic or Java a plus. Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree or course work in computer or math related fields strongly favored.
