Technical Support Specialist

MEDITECH is looking for staff to assist our customers with software, hardware and connectivity/network/functionality issues. MEDITECH offers 24 hour technical support to our customers in the healthcare field, and may have various day, weeknight and weekend shifts available. This is an entry-level position, and training in MEDITECH technology will be provided to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and troubleshooting technical issues related to hardware, network, operating systems and databases
  • Providing ongoing technical support to our customers in the healthcare field
  • Acting as a direct resource for our customers

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Customer technical support on Window NT/2K/2K3, UNIX/LINUX administration and Windows desktop environments
  • LAN/WAN and PC maintenance skills
  • Programming
  • Database management and architecture

Education & Experience

  • Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree or computer course work in computer related fields strongly favored.
  • Clinical, financial, administrative and departmental experience with the following is a plus: Enterprise Medical Record, Home Health, Long Term Care, Order Entry, Nursing, Billing/Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Managed Care, Materials Management, Payroll/Personnel, General Ledger, Claims, Budgeting and Forecasting, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, Reimbursement, Laboratory, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Pathology, Radiology/Imaging, Operating Room, Pharmacy, Emergency Room, Medical Coding, Insurance Verification, Scheduling, Medical Records, Admissions/Registration, Human Resources and Data Repository.
