Third-Shift Programmer

Interested in earning a 15% shift differential, enjoying longer weekends and sunny afternoons? Then this could be your next career move. MEDITECH is seeking third-shift programmers interested in supporting Health Care Information Systems overnight. Individuals will work with new technologies. This is an entry-level position, and training will be provided in both our application and platform technologies. For proper assessment of your technical abilities, a problem solving analytical quiz will be administered to candidates who are selected to interview. During the initial training period, which lasts approximately 3-4 months, individuals will be expected to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Working with MEDITECH staff and customers to address issues
  • Troubleshooting, researching and coding issues for customer systems
  • Designing and coding software enhancements to customer specification
  • Working on a variety of technical projects
  • Communicating with development staff and mentoring co-workers
  • Coordinating and delivering current software and new releases to customers
  • Working hours 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM, Tuesday through Friday (after initial training)

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Computer Science or computer course work in related field (Math/MIS/IS)
  • Knowledge of a high-level programming language, such as C or C++, is a plus
