Event Descriptions

Mock Interviews  This is a brief session for college students to expose them to the interviewing process. A typical session is geared for a small group of students (10-15), which includes a presentation on what to expect when interviewing, plus tips to help students prepare for an interview. Mock interviews are then conducted after the presentation. Each student will be allotted a 10 minute interview with a brief critique by the interviewer. All students should be prepared to interview with a completed resume. Most mock interviews take place in the Fall semester, before the college recruiting season begins in full.

Student Tours of MEDITECH  These tours are designed to give students an introduction to the work environment at MEDITECH. The tour begins with refreshments allowing students time to ask informal questions. Each tour includes a presentation on MEDITECH that describes the positions that we are currently hiring for and a brief description of our hiring process. A panel of guest alumni will then meet the students to discuss their careers at MEDITECH, offering insight of the many career opportunities available to staff members. Following the panel speakers, we conclude the tour with a walk through the facility. Student tours are offered at the MEDITECH office of your choice.

On-Campus Information Sessions  Information sessions are offered on-campus for any college or university that has more than 10 students interested in employment opportunities with MEDITECH. Information sessions are conducted by a member of the Recruiting Department and gives students an in-depth look at MEDITECH's history, current opportunities, and the goals of the company. MEDITECH will provide equipment needed for the sessions, which should be scheduled at least one week prior to on-campus interviews.

On-Campus Interviews  On-campus interviews are conducted by senior MEDITECH staff members, in many cases alumni. They are typically half hour sessions offered to students interested in employment with MEDITECH. There must be a minimum of 10 students to conduct on-campus interviews. Students should be prepared for the interview by downloading and completing an application for employment, attending an on-campus informational session or reviewing the presentation on-line. The interview is considered a first round to determine whether or not a candidate is a match for MEDITECH and if they should advance to the next phase of the interviewing process with MEDITECH.

Career Services Luncheon  The luncheons provide an opportunity for career service staff members to a MEDITECH office and discuss the college recruiting process. These sessions may include a presentation, a tour of the office, and an open discussion session as well as a panel of new hires. Topics and duration of session may vary.

On-Campus Class/Club Visit  Class visits or student club visits are offered by MEDITECH to discuss opportunities available to students interested in a certain field of study. These sessions are similar to an information session but have more of an emphasis on a certain area, for example, presentations for a Biology Club would focus more on how MEDITECH would utilize the students knowledge of clinical terminology. Typical areas of interest are: CIS, Biology, Computer Science, Nursing and Medical Technology. There must be a minimum of 10 students to conduct on-campus visits and the sessions typically run for 30 to 45 minutes.
