Westwood Construction Regulations

 


Construction permit must be displayed at all times, and a copy given to MEDITECH prior to the beginning of any project.

Delivery and Removal of Construction Material:

MEDITECH may require that construction material be delivered and removed via a designated window, depending on the size of the project.
Smaller Scale Projects:  Construction material shall be delivered and removed through the loading dock of the building.
Medium/Large Scale Projects:  A job may require delivery and removal of construction materials via the window.  This includes, but is not limited to, sheetrock, insulation, carpet, joint compound...

All Construction Company personnel will be required to enter/exit via the loading dock door.  Under no circumstances are the front lobby doors to be used unless prior permission has been obtained from MEDITECH.

The Construction Company that is performing the work shall take necessary precautions to protect walls/corners.  This will be determined by a walk-thru conducted with MEDITECH Operations personnel.  The Construction Company will be held responsible for any/all property damage sustained as a result of negligence during the construction.

All carpeted/finished floor areas shall be covered with masonite prior to commencement of the project.  All edges/seams must be secured properly to eliminate trip hazards.

The Construction Company is responsible for removing all moving related debris from the site.  This includes, but is not limited to, boxes, packing materials, trash, etc.  The Construction Company shall not dispose of any debris in the building trash compactor/dumpster, or anywhere in/around the building.

The Construction Company shall not park vehicles in front of the building, in any of the designated visitor or handicapped spaces, or in the fire lanes at any time.

Building 100: The Construction Company may use space closest to the compactor, making sure to allow for adequate passage for daily deliveries to the loading dock area, unless prior permission has been obtained from MEDITECH.
Building 200:  The Construction Company must provide adequate passage for daily deliveries to the loading dock area, unless prior permission has been obtained from MEDITECH.

All Construction Company vehicles must be parked in legal spaces after unloading of materials at the loading dock.

The Construction Company shall not block any fire exit, doorway, closet or hallway that would in any way prohibit movement in/around the building.

The Construction Company must coordinate all times for use of the freight elevator, rear door only, for delivery, for movement of materials, for any and all time the freight elevator is to be on independent service.

No items are to be left in any common areas, including the loading dock, unless prior permission has been obtained from MEDITECH.

There is No Smoking on MEDITECH property, other than the designated area located at the rear patio of each building.
