Two MEDITECH Customers Named on InfoWorld's Top 100 List

MEDITECH is proud to congratulate Parkview Adventist Medical Center (Brunswick, ME) and Redlands Community Hospital (Redlands, CA) for being two of only 13 health care organizations named among InfoWorld's Top 100 organizations.

This prestigious award recognizes organizations utilizing information technology in creative and innovative ways to enhance business and meet technology objectives.

"Our staff is thrilled about this award as it demonstrates we are among the best of the best in information technology utilization," says Richard Gagnon, director of information systems at Redlands Community Hospital. "Using our MEDITECH solution, Redlands Community Hospital was one of the first hospitals in the country to build a virtual desktop in its Surgical and Maternity wings, leading to our recognition from InfoWorld."

The MEDITECH solution also played a pivotal role at Parkview Adventist Medical Center. "Using MEDITECH, we have moved from a heterogeneous mix of several different applications to a single Health Care Information System (HCIS)," says Bill McQuaid, assistant vice president and chief information officer at Parkview Adventist Medical Center. "In addition to single sign-on, we have incorporated finger biometrics into our HCIS, ensuring the hospital is meeting government regulations for protecting patient data."
