MEDITECH Builds Ties with Atlantic Canada

Alan Goldstein, MEDITECH's director of marketing, Canada, was invited to speak at the Atlantic Canada - New England Business Forum, held last month in Quincy, Massachusetts, USA. Goldstein participated in a panel of American and Canadian industry leaders, discussing the topic of Technology for the Delivery of Education and Health Care.

Goldstein presented an overview of MEDITECH's role within the health care industry, highlighting our work toward reducing medical errors and helping hospitals transform the industry at a time when health care organizations are being forced to do more with less. "Technology innovation is not the answer, but a key component," states Goldstein. "We are working toward creating a patient-centric system, where software functionality unifies care teams, as care continues to expand into the community."

Also present were senior government officials from each of the four Atlantic Provinces and government and industry leaders from throughout New England. This cross-border event provided a unique forum to discuss the challenges common to both countries, as well as ways to explore mutual opportunities in product and service solutions.
