LSS Awarded CCHIT Certification^SM

The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT^SM) announced that MEDITECH's partner vendor, LSS Data Systems, has achieved full CCHIT Certification^SM of its MAGIC Medical and Practice Management (MPM) Suite, Version 5.5 (Service Release 2.1) and meets the 2006 CCHIT Ambulatory EHR criteria. CCHIT certified^SM product certification designates that the MAGIC MPM Suite has been tested against a comprehensive set of set of criteria for EHR functionality, interoperability, and security and has passed inspection of 100 percent of a comprehensive set of criteria.

Poudre Valley Health System (Fort Collins, CO), a MEDITECH/LSS customer, is utilizing LSS' CCHIT Certified^SM MAGIC product. "Knowing that the ambulatory EHR product we're using is now CCHIT Certified^SM tells us that our partnership with LSS Data Systems and MEDITECH is building a very strong foundation for our IT strategy," said Russ Branzell, Chief Information Officer at Poudre.

Last year, LSS received full certification of its Client/Server (C/S) Medical and Practice Management (MPM) Suite, Version 5.5 (Service Release 2.1) for CCHIT Ambulatory EHR 2006. LSS is shipping CCHIT Certified^SM MAGIC and Client/Server products to their new and existing customers.
