MEDITECH Attends World Conference on I.T.
MEDITECH Vice President discusses global health I.T. challenges at Medinfo 2010 in South Africa.

Health leaders from around the world gathered in Cape Town, South Africa to attend this year's Medinfo 2010, the 13th World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics. MEDITECH's Hoda Sayed-Friel, vice president of marketing, was among the attendees discussing innovative collaborative solutions to current health challenges, and the role new technologies are playing in improving the lives of patients and their communities.

Sayed-Friel joined John Tresling, managing director of MEDITECH South Africa and Douglas Murray, operations director for MEDITECH Australia. This year's conference theme was "Partnerships for Effective e-Health Solutions."

"This was the first time the conference was held in Africa, and it was a very exciting setting to learn about worldwide health care challenges," notes Sayed-Friel. "The partnership we have with MEDITECH South Africa and MEDITECH Australia is an invaluable one, and continues to give MEDITECH a wider perspective on global issues."
