MEDITECH is reviewing the new definition of
Meaningful Use and the associated Interim Final
Rule for Meaningful Use standards, implementation
specifications, and certification criteria. Our

documents. These include: clearer definitions for
eligible hospitals and providers, a 90 day live
period for 10% utilization of CPOE, the
rescheduling of order sets from 2013 to 2011,
five clinical decision support rules in 2011
instead of one, specified vocabularies and
interoperability protocols, as well as extended
outcome reporting measures and self-attestation

Stay Up-to-Date on Government Initiatives
March 1st, 2010

MEDITECH is actively
keeping track of the economic stimulus package,
and how it affects health care I.T. Bi-weekly, we'll
post a comprehensive news update which combines
multiple federal and state media articles
covering the stimulus bill. Click the "Federal
and State Government News Update" button to
the right to view the latest edition, along with
an archive to the last thirty-six editions. Check
back bi-weekly for updates!
Additionally, we have
created an ARRA Resources page, which you can access by clicking
on the button to the right. On this resource page,
you'll find flyers, presentations, videos, and
suggested reading materials which provide an
overview of The American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, and will help
you better prepare for the path the federal
government has set forth. We will continue to
update this page as new resources are produced.
