(MEDITECH), announces that its MAGIC Health Care Information System (HCIS) version 5.6.4 Electronic Health Record has received complete EHR inpatient certification deeming the electronic health record (EHR) software capable of enabling eligible hospitals to meet the Stage 1 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Tested and certified under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program, the EHR software is 2011/2012 compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

The MEDITECH MAGIC HCIS version 5.6.4 Electronic Health Record, which met the requirements for complete EHR certification, is a comprehensive and integrated Health Care Information System (HCIS) designed to help organizations increase patient safety, streamline processes, and improve communication across departments and care teams.

These included Nursing, Physician Care Manager, Emergency Department Management, Patient Care Inquiry, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Microbiology, Scanning and Archiving, Data Repository, Health Information Management (HIM), CCD Exchange Suite, Public Health Interfaces for Laboratory and Immunization Reporting, and NPR Report Writer.
