MEDITECH
Receives EHR Certification for Client/Server
MEDITECH's Client/Server Health
Care Information System (HCIS) version 5.6.4 Electronic
Health Record has received complete EHR inpatient
certification. Hospitals running MEDITECH's certified
solutions have the software tools needed to meet the
Stage 1 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify for
funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
(ARRA).
MEDITECH's EHR was tested and certified through the
Drummond Group, under the Office of the National
Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB)
program.
Our Client Server HCIS certification encompassed both
required and optional components, including: Patient Care
and Patient Safety, Physician Care Manager, Emergency
Department Management, Enterprise Medical Record,
Pharmacy, Laboratory, Microbiology, Scanning and
Archiving, Data Repository, Health Information Management
(HIM), CCD Exchange Suite, Public Health Interfaces for
Laboratory and Immunization Reporting, and NPR Report
Writer.
"The recent certification of our Client/Server EHR,
as well as our previously announced MAGIC EHR, will
greatly assist our customers as they move forward with
their electronic health records initiatives," states
Hoda Sayed-Friel, vice president of marketing at MEDITECH.
"We're also excited to announce that certification
of our 6.0 platform is planned for early 2011."
