Welcome!
One of our key initiatives this year is the development of a comprehensive, integrated ambulatory care suite. Today, with nearly 75% of all healthcare delivery centering around approximately 30
chronic diseases, health care's focus has shifted from the management of a patient's inpatient stays to managing outpatient-oriented care. To prepare for these changes, we continue to develop solutions for the entire spectrum of ambulatory care - from physician practices and emergency departments to surgical centers and clinics.
In this issue, we introduce our ambulatory suite of products, including a problem-oriented Electronic Ambulatory Record and an Emergency Department Management product. We also hear from Development Director Janet Desroche on the challenges that ambulatory care presents, and where our products fit in as health care delivery continues to move in new directions.
And we are pleased to announce the unveiling of our MIX Web Site, which provides customers with a central location to get the most up-to-date information on our MIX Customer Service Program. The site provides discussion forums, a knowledge base, and information on upcoming events-including our first CIO Workshop in June.
