• On-line, user-defined donor questionnaires to stream line the qualification process

• Process screens to quickly result and efficiently track unit status
• Ability to efficiently process multiple units or specimens at one time.

Electronic Crossmatching
MEDITECH's electronic crossmatching feature saves critical testing time by electronically checking for incompatibilities between a patient's blood and a unit of blood or blood products prior to transfusion. The Electronic Crossmatch capabilities allow users to safeguard that:
• Patient specimen and blood type results are current
• Blood type results were confirmed by two determinations
• Patient and donor units are ABO compatible
• Testing for antigens and antibodies is complete
• Antibody screen results are not positive
• Clinically significant antibodies are not present
• Donor ABO group and Rh type on the unit label are confirmed.

Patient Reports
Standard and user-defined formats are available for activity or summary reports. Features include:
• Summary and activity reports by physician, patient, or location
• Discharge and extended summaries
• Results available electronically via the Electronic Medical Record and over the Internet.
